We provide a Kindergarten curriculum which is in line with the ECDA’s Refreshed curriculum. This caters to Nursery, Kindergarten 1 to Kindergarten 2 children. As we believe each child is unique and special and each child has his or her own unique way of learning, we provide resources for a small class ratio of one teacher to 5 children to ensure holistic progress and development. As a bilingual childcare centre, we believe in providing children with ample opportunities to be involved in constructing knowledge with active participation, both in the English and Chinese languages respectively. The constant exposure to both languages allow children to develop fluency in reading, speaking and writing. Children’s health & hygiene are also closely monitored daily, to ensure children maintain continual good hygiene habits during shower and in-between meal time.
To develop children’s physical development, we provide an indoor playground, regular bi- weekly visit to the Children’s Park at Gardens by the Bay and weekly gymnastic programme to enhance children’s development. Our healthy, nutritious and well balanced menu prepared by a dietician also ensures children’s healthy growth and wellbeing. Within each classroom, a print-rich environment is setup to enrich children’s literacy skills; such as a library corner, literacy games, interactive picture and flash cards and word wall. A numeracy learning centre is also included in each classroom catering activities from simple to complex to reinforce children’s concepts in numeracy and, a science discovery corner to stimulate children’s curiosity and discovery of nature. We believe in showcasing children’s work to boost their confidence and self-esteem.
Our close partnership with parents are vital in enhancing children’s learning. Therefore, we document children’s learning regularly and update parents on a weekly basis. In engaging parents to participate in activities; we invite them to join us in our Reading Programme, Home Projects, field trips and classroom or school activities. Discovery of the World
Children are curious learners and always seeking opportunities to discover the world around them. Therefore, our curriculum includes hands-on Science discovery which allows children to explore with materials at the Science area. In addition, in line with the themes, children go on regular field trips to explore and discover the environment.
On a daily basis, children engage in songs and rhymes. Our environment is print-rich with labels inclusive the learning centre areas where simple instructions are written to guide children in using the materials. All materials are labelled to promote children’s literacy skills. In addition, our literacy area consists of a ‘Word Wall’ which display high frequency words, phonics words and theme words for reinforcement. In and around the classroom, teachers also model good verbal language to children. To develop word awareness, a reading programme is carried out throughout the four terms. To further reinforce the reading skills, children bring the readers home to read to the parents. Teaching materials such as matching word and picture cards, sentence writing and LEA (Language Experience Approach) activities are also carried in class throughout the school year.

All Math concepts’ activities are taught with concrete objects with children’s active participation. Children at Kindergarten level work in small groups to brainstorm and problem solve logical thinking questions and teachers act as facilitators to probe and assist children to find their answers.
